Joe Anderson, Englewood’s mayor pro tem and a two-term city council member, died after collapsing while hiking Quandary Peak in Colorado, a loss city officials called “tremendous” for the community he served. Anderson, 45, was hiking Quandary Peak, a 14,271-foot summit in Colorado’s Tenmile Range, when he collapsed on the lower slopes Friday morning.
