Deliberate attacks on more than 1,400 fiber-optic lines left thousands of residents in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Koreatown without internet or cell service over the weekend, and no one has been arrested. Someone slashed Spectrum's fiber-optic cables in Baldwin Hills on Friday, severing the lines that carry internet and wireless service to some of the most densely populated neighborhoods in central Los Angeles. Customers across West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Koreatown lost connectivity almost immediately.
