A funding package passed earlier this week included a two-week stopgap measure for DHS, funding it at 2025 levels through Feb. 13. Conservative members were not happy with the Senate breaking up the funding package and only temporarily funding DHS. Democrats have raised concerns over the Trump administration’s tactics while implementing President Trump’s crackdown on immigration, primarily in Minnesota after two U.S. citizens were fatally shot by federal agents last month.
