Mary Rivera, the actress who charmed Marvel fans as the Tagalog-speaking Filipino grandmother in Spider-Man: No Way Home, has died at 82 in Honolulu after her family removed her from life support following a severe stroke. Rivera suffered the stroke and fell into a coma before doctors told her family that her condition was "extremely serious" and that recovery prospects were grim. Her family ultimately chose to take her off life support, and she died on April 15 in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she had settled years after emigrating from the Philippines. She was later cremated.
