Thieves broke into Tom Brady’s newly opened CardVault shop in Palo Alto, stealing more than $12,000 in trading cards and smashing display cases, as police hunt for suspects and critics point to a growing crime wave hitting small businesses. Just over a week after Tom Brady welcomed the Palo Alto Police Department to the grand opening of his CardVault franchise’s 19th location, criminals struck at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, shattering a store window and making off with roughly 60 collectible cards.
