A new bill is moving through the Georgia state legislature that would be the first in the nation to require weapon checks at public schools. The proposal follows the 2024 conviction of a 14-year-old who shot and killed two classmates and two teachers at Apalachee High School. State Rep. Chuck Efstration, a Republican who is sponsoring the bill, tells “Morning in America,” it's a “reasonable measure” to help protect students.
