The Palo Alto Police Department is refusing to release body-cam footage or an accident report from 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan's July 14 car crash, even as Shanahan himself has publicly admitted fault and described injuries that nearly cost him his right eye. Shanahan drove his Tesla head-on into a Mercedes SUV near the intersection of Alma Street and Hamilton Avenue in Palo Alto, California, after looking down to retrieve a dropped cell phone.
