A cargo ship docked for repairs at one of China's busiest ports caught fire and killed 25 people Thursday, the latest in a string of deadly industrial disasters that Beijing's safety campaigns have failed to prevent. The blaze broke out aboard the Ocean Melody at roughly 11 a.m. local time at the Beihai Shipbuilding Co. facility in the port city of Qingdao, a major shipping hub on China's northeastern coast in Shandong province. Firefighters battled the flames for about three and a half hours before extinguishing them at 2:30 p.m., CBS News reported . Forty-two people were on the vessel when the fire started.
