Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, shared recently revealed text communications by a Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agent who last year shot U.S. citizen Marimar Martinez of Chicago. In the texts, the agent wrote about the multiple injuries sustained by the Chicago resident: "I fired five rounds and she had seven holes. Put that in your book boys. ... Oh well, it is what it is. ... [Expletive] happens[.]"
