Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth spoke Saturday, May 30 at the Shangri-La Dialogue defense summit in Singapore. The event, hosted annually by the strategic and military study group The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), discusses security in the Asia-Pacific region. As Washington correspondent Kellie Meyer reported from Singapore, Hegseth said that the U.S. is continuing to support its allies in the region, but called on them to increase their own commitments.
