PULSE POINTS WHAT HAPPENED: Felix Rojas, a 44-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico , was sentenced to five years in prison for the rape and robbery of Jorge Gonzalez, a deceased man, on a New York City subway in April 2025. Gonzalez, who had died hours earlier on a subway bench, was assaulted by Rojas aboard an R train near the Whitehall Street station. DETAIL: Prosecutors said Rojas sexually assaulted Gonzalez for more than 30 minutes, searched his pockets, and then remained on the train in an apparent effort to avoid detection.
