A Carnival cruise ship changed course in the Caribbean on August 26 to pull a lone sailor off a disabled vessel, the third such at-sea rescue involving a cruise liner in roughly three months. Carnival Conquest was heading toward St. George's, Grenada, when the ship received a distress relay from rescue authorities and diverted to locate a sailing vessel that could no longer move under its own power. The crew found the boat and brought its sole occupant aboard safely, Carnival Cruise Line told USA TODAY in an emailed statement.
