The New York Times has not authenticated the note. But some of its phrases are similar or identical to ones Jeffrey Epstein used in emails and another handwritten letter.
At the request of the New York Times, a judge unsealed a goodbye note that Jeffrey Epstein's former cellmate says he found after the convicted sex offender's first suicide attempt in July 2019.
The note, which was discovered by Epstein’s former cellmate, had been under seal for years. No court or investigative agency has vouched for its authenticity.
