The House is set to take up a floor vote on the five-bill minibus and stopgap funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Tuesday afternoon, after lawmakers cleared a key procedural vote despite reservations from some within the GOP caucus. Conservative members were not happy with the Senate breaking up the funding package and only temporarily funding DHS. Democrats have raised concerns over the Trump administration’s tactics while implementing President Trump’s crackdown on immigration, primarily in Minnesota after two U.S. citizens were fatally shot by federal agents last month.
