The flooding in Nepal is hitting close to home for a longtime member of the CNN family. CNN Director of International News for Video Sugam Pokharel was born and raised in Nepal before moving to the United States 20 years ago. He has friends there who are currently unreachable. Sugam told Brianna Keilar the news "feels especially personal." "This is incredibly heartbreaking and worrying, especially not knowing what has happened to them," he said.

(NewsNation) — At least 65 Americans are missing following flash floods in Nepal and China. According to officials, nearly 1,400 people were reported missing after flash floods in a border area of Nepal and China on Wednesday, killing at least 350 people and leaving hundreds of tourists, workers and others missing. The State Department said it was aware of Americans affected. China state broadcaster CCTV reported at least three dead and 558 missing in the Tibet region’s Gyirong County near the border. #nepal #china #tibet #flooding #weather
