Earlier this month, the White House debuted five arcade-style video games on its official website, two centered on the administration’s immigration agenda. One had users chase and deport immigrants in a twisted version of “Snake.” Another had players stack Tetris-like blocks to build a wall and “protect the border." But turning cruelty into a game isn’t new. It’s an old propaganda trick, used to make hatred feel entertaining and ordinary.
