The Palos Fire spread through a La Habra Heights neighborhood near the Los Angeles County-Orange County border, catching at least three structures on fire and causing one to collapse. FOX 11 spoke with homeowner Tammy Becker as flames engulfed her property and firefighters worked to contain the blaze. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a call of the "Palos Fire" near the intersection of Lupin Hill Road and Las Palomas Drive in La Habra Heights a little after 2:30 p.m. PT on Monday, September 14. An evacuation shelter has opened up at nearby Los Altos High School. The cause of the fire is unknown.
