The National Hurricane Center confirmed that Edouard made landfall at 2:20 p.m. local time Tuesday near Johnson Bayou, Louisiana, roughly 15 miles south-southeast of Port Arthur. Maximum sustained winds hit 60 mph, and the storm's minimum central pressure measured 996 millibars.
