President Donald Trump’s administration is putting veterans first with “Freedom Haulers,” an interagency campaign moving former service members into trucking careers while restoring safety and integrity to America’s highways. Led by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, the initiative brings together the Transportation, Veterans Affairs, Labor and War departments. Veterans who operated heavy military vehicles can use waiver programs to bypass portions of the commercial driver’s license process, while others may complete CDL training during their final six months of active duty.
