The House of Representatives reopened the floor Tuesday by passing a rule to attach the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act to an appropriations bill. The House shut down on June 30 after 13 House Republicans voted down a procedural vote to debate attaching the SAVE America Act to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The chamber voted to debate four rules after holdouts, including Republican Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, voted in favor of the procedural votes to debate several bills.
