NYTIMES (Becky Ferreira) - Is There Alien Debris on the Moon? Some Scientists Plan to Find Out.

Researchers want to explore the idea that microscopic particles shed by alien civilizations have accumulated on the lunar surface, making it an archive of extraterrestrial technology.

HUFFPOST (U.S. News) - Two Spacecraft Get Closer To Mercury After Nearly Decade-Long Voyage

The conjoined spacecraft known as BepiColombo could enter orbit in November before splitting from each other in December to study the entire planet from different altitudes.

AMERICANALMANAC (Alan Benson) - Chinese scientists find six unknown structures buried 1,800 miles beneath Earth's surface

A team of Chinese researchers used artificial intelligence to scan millions of seismic recordings and identified six never-before-documented formations deep at the boundary between Earth's mantle and its liquid outer core. The structures sit roughly 1,800 miles below the planet's surface, in one of the most extreme and least understood environments on Earth. Temperatures at […] The post Chinese scientists find six unknown structures buried 1,800 miles beneath Earth's surface appeared first on American Almanac .

Temperatures at the mantle-core boundary swing by about 1,000°C, nearly 1,800°F, across a relatively thin transition zone where solid, slow-moving rock meets liquid metal. The researchers described the formations as "deep-seated scatterers" and "thermochemical piles," terms that refer to regions where the rock composition or temperature differs sharply from the surrounding mantle…Open

AMERICANALMANAC (Alan Benson) - NASA's Curiosity rover captured a strange 'jellyfish' figure on Mars — and nobody has explained it

A small, leggy figure that appeared in a NASA rover photo on Mars and then vanished from subsequent frames has fueled a fresh round of online speculation about what, exactly, the Curiosity rover keeps finding on the Red Planet. The image dates back to August 20, 2023, when NASA's Curiosity rover snapped several photos of […] The post NASA's Curiosity rover captured a strange 'jellyfish' figure on Mars — and nobody has explained it appeared first on American Almanac .

A small, leggy figure that appeared in a NASA rover photo on Mars and then vanished from subsequent frames has fueled a fresh round of online speculation about what, exactly, the Curiosity rover keeps finding on the Red Planet. The image dates back to August 20, 2023, when NASA's Curiosity rover snapped several photos of the Martian surface around 6:27 p.m. ET. In one panoramic shot, a small object sits in the left corner of the frame, something that appears to have a body with two small legs , set against a dusty landscape of rocky hills. Photos taken less than a minute earlier show no trace of it. No other images captured that day recorded the figure. And NASA has offered no public explanation for the anomaly. An image three years old…Open

YOUTUBE (Facts Matter with Roman Balmakov) - Antarctica’s 14 Million-Year Secret

SUBSCRIBE for more vids~ Summary: Scientists found a lost river system beneath Antarctica, proving the continent was once vastly different. See what lies under the ice. This video explores the recent Antarctica discovery of ancient valleys and ridges that remained preserved for millions of years. We examine how this lost river system challenges previous assumptions about how ice erodes the landscape. This content is intended for anyone interested in geology, earth science, and the history of our planet. By analyzing this prehistoric landscape, researchers are gaining new insights into the stability of the current Antarctic ice sheet. Understanding these conditions helps us better model climate history and predict how polar regions may…

JUSTTHENEWS (Nicholas Ballasy) - SpaceX rocket expected to crash into moon, creating new crater

Astronomers and skywatchers are hoping to witness the collision and the plume of material blasted into space, Reuters reports
