Minneapolis police arrested far-right activist Jake Lang during a protest this weekend outside of city hall, just days after Lang made headlines for his anti-Islam rally in Dearborn, Michigan. The police department said the “far-right extremist,” who Mayor Jacob Frey called “a known racist” arrived near city hall on saturday with other people in two vehicles. Both vehicles drove onto the sidewalk toward a crowd of people, according to officers. All occupants of the both vehicles were taken into custody, including Lang on “probable cause riot,” police said.
While taking the last step in the legal process to wipe out penalties from the riot, the judge also criticized the Justice Department for undoing the most serious convictions.
Tens of thousands of people have overrun the borders between Spain and Morocco and Melilla and Ceuta this week, with footage of violent riots going viral.
A new investigation published Wednesday revealed the extent to which California’s public colleges and universities are stockpiling weapons, such as AR-15s and stun grenades, to keep their campuses safe. CalMatters, a non-profit investigative outlet, reported that university police in California’s higher education institutions have amassed scores of weapons and reserves of ammunition. The mass inventory from 2025 records includes hundreds of AR-15s, thousands of munitions laced with the same chemical found in chili peppers, drones, stun grenades, and even a submachine gun, according to the outlet.
